A lot of people have been asking me recently about how to generate clients and create a steady income. I believe the block in generating anything nearly always comes back to a block in ourselves.
I constantly hear “but there’s so many coaches / yoga teachers / XYZ in the world. How will I make money?” At the root of it is our conditioning. As we're taught in our school systems and corporate lifestyles to constantly compare ourselves to others, we've been programmed into a negative mindset that breeds a lack of individual self worth.
When I first started coaching I would spend hours chasing leads, building content for socials and doing as much as I could in the hope it would create clients and income.
After a year I realised how much this was wearing me out and I knew that something had to change. I recognised that the most powerful trait a coach can contain is presence. So I simplified and cleared out my time. I got present.
I practised inviting in a specific number of clients instead (and also a specific amount of money). Then I did whatever I could to keep my energy high so I could stay in FLOW and maintain the trust they would come. I surrendered.
I couldn’t believe it when it worked, and then kept working. That’s still the sole way I generate clients. It amazes me how easy it is sometimes.
That’s not to say there’s not moments where I feel its not happening fast enough. But I now have the experience to trust the process and know if there’s a quieter moment then it’s supposed to be that way. (This is true surrender!)
I taught this process experientially to a client recently and she had instant results. Her words were “Oh Mel, I’m beaming - this is so powerful! I’m in heaven. So unbelievably grateful to you for this powerful, magnetic flow unlock!”
It's not as easy for some and that's where the Reparenting work needs to happen. But by doing the necessary inner work you can finally realise your desires and take up space. We all deserve that and there's more than enough room for all of us.
