The Mother's Table

A Shared Meal Exploring The Richness Of Motherhood

Motherhood can be one of the most profound and transformative experiences of our lives. Yet when we talk about it, it's often reduced to sleep issues, household work and emotional overwhelm.

Throughout my motherhood journey, I've often felt a yearning for rich conversation about my constantly shifting identity, my evolving values and how mothering changes how I relate to myself and the world.

I'm opening up my Hackney home to ten mothers for an afternoon of deep, meaningful conversation about what it means to be a modern mother. Together we'll explore the profound and the playful, the mystical and the mundane, the tears and the belly laughs.

Over a beautiful meal, we'll explore the parts of motherhood that don't fit into neat boxes. Bringing together women from all walks of life, this is for mothers who want to talk about how this sacred, messy, ridiculous, beautiful role transforms us from the inside out.

Saturday 4th July | 1pm to 4pm | Hackney, London

The afternoon will unfold with:

✨ A welcome into my home with a drink

✨ A beautiful meal made by the wonderful Hurley Girl Farm, renowned for her delicious dishes made with love.

✨ A guided meditation and facilitated conversation exploring the mother you inherited, the mother you are becoming, and what you want to carry forward

✨ A creative activity to ground the experience in your body and take something home with you

✨ Space to be witnessed, held and seen by other mothers who get it

The theme is The Mother. Who was she to you? What did she teach you about yourself, about your needs, about what you were allowed to want? And now that you are a mother, what do you want to keep and what do you want to hand back? Together we'll explore the mother line behind you, the mother you are becoming, and what it means to be witnessed in that becoming.

The menu will focus on seasonal summer ingredients. Featuring beautifully prepared courses that are all meat and dairy free, other dietary requirements can be catered to with advance notice.

This event explores themes we dive into deeper in the Motherload, a five-month group experience that helps mothers thrive in all they're holding. Those inside get priority access and reduced pricing. To join the next intake click here.

"It was such a lovely evening last night. Thank you so much. It gave me lots to think about & the red ribbon has already helped me to reframe some habitual thought patterns today!

"The space to meet in person, connect, listen and share ideas and feelings around specific aspects of motherhood, womanhood — and simply to be nourished was wonderful."

"I love being in person, in a gorgeous setting, and having meaningful conversation prompted by powerful questions. "

I'm Melissa Maouris. I've been working as a reparenting coach for nine years, helping women peel back the layers of inherited identity to return to what was always true underneath. My work sits at the intersection of inner child healing, parts work and the deep psychological reshaping that happens when you become a mother. I'm a mother of two, and everything I facilitate comes from lived experience first. The Motherload is the group programme where this work lives long-term. The Mother's Table is where you can come and taste it.
